My work sits at the intersection of documentary practice and fine art — I am interested in what happens when you hold a camera still long enough for a place to reveal its interior logic. I trained in photojournalism but found my language in the slower, more deliberate space between assignments. Every series begins with listening. I spend weeks in a community before I lift a camera, because the photograph I want is never the first one you see — it is the one that takes time to trust you with.
